HUAWEI Mate X6 Collector’s Edition: Tiantong Satellite Communication, Beidou Satellite Messaging
Tiantong Satellite Communication requires subscribing to the relevant service from the Tiantong satellite service operator. The availability of this function is related to the operator’s business deployment; please check with the local operator for actual services. For flight and communication safety, do not use satellite communication functions after the aircraft cabin door is closed.
HUAWEI Mate X6 and HUAWEI Mate X6 Collector’s Edition provide the hardware for Beidou Satellite Messaging. Must be used in an open area without obstructions. Requires activation via the Huawei Celia app (or “Changlian” app) in an environment with ground network coverage, or subscription to the operator’s Beidou satellite SMS service. Sending Beidou satellite picture messages is only supported through the Celia app (or “Changlian” app); pictures are lossily compressed, and compression effectiveness is limited by satellite network bandwidth. The editable text length is also limited by satellite network bandwidth; please refer to the actual experience. This function is limited to mainland China (excluding Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan). Huawei will conduct public testing and verification; details of functions and activity rules are subject to official information.
